Betty B. (Ewell) Rhodes

Birth: She was born in 1872 at Kentucky.

Family Information: Married to J.C. Rhodes.

Mother of Trixie, Louise and Will Ewell.  

Description:  

Pre-Colony History: In 1910 she was living in Missouri with her first husband and children.

Home in Colony:  

Job in Colony: In December 1921 she was working in the sewing room along with Mrs. Synoground and Mrs. Langridge.

In July 1922 it was reported that she'd been in charge of the sewing department for the past two years and had been on the job constantly during that time.

Other Info: In July 1922 she and Trixie left the colony to spend several weeks with her sister in Nevada, Mo. They expected to return in the autumn.

Post-Colony History: In 1930 she was living in California with her daughters Trixie Ewell and Louise (Ewell) Workman. In 1940 she was still in California and living with her daughter, Louise and grandson, Sherman, and working as a treasurer for the city.  

Death: She died in 1960 at California.
