Basil Emry 

Birth: Born about 1901 in Iowa.  

Family Information: Son of Robert H. and Cora Mae Emry.

Brother of Willard, Kenneth, Archie and Helen Emry.

Half-brother of Annette (Emry) Bradshaw and Opal (Emry) Layer.  

Description:  

Pre-Colony History: In 1910 and 1920 was living in Iowa with his parents; in 1930 and 1940 living in Montana with his mother.

In September 1931 the Emry family including Cora Emry, Helen, Basil, Willard and Archie returned to the colony from Montana -- they had left the colony four years prior (probably soon after the death of Robert. The trip took them nine days as they visited with friends along the way.  

Home in Colony:  

Job in Colony: In 1931 he was back on his "old job" hauling wood for Claud Long and Bill Shipman to feed the insatiable maw of the power plant. In January and March 1932 was driving a team hauling wood. Also helped out with cleaning up the inner court of the new apartment hotel.

Death: Died in 1984 in Montana.
