Pre-Colony History: She came to the colony in the fall of 1936, intending to stay the winter.  

Family Information: She married O.M. Thomason in April 1937.

Post-Colony History: She and her husband left the colony in 1937, soon after their marriage.

Aldena wrote a letter back to colonists describing their trip to their home in the Ozarks. In the letter she mentioned that they had spent the last night of their journey at Iowa Falls, Iowa, where she had been fired from Ellsworth College twelve years prior for "speaking against the war, campaigning for Bob LaFollette, refusing to rise for the war son, the Star Spangled Banner and like wickednesses."
