Family Information:

Job in Colony: In 1929 and 1930 he was an automobile mechanic at the Rice Ranch. In 1929 he reconstructed from junk a cultivator disc, one of the powerful tools used by colonists at the Rice Ranch.

In 1930 he constructed additional nesting at the Rice Ranch, to accommodate his rapidly increasing flock of chickens, and a chicken run, 60'x30', made of wire net with small meshes to prevent the little things from leaving their temporary prison until they were six weeks or older and would be given their freedom.

Home in Colony: In 1930 he was living at the Rice Ranch. In April, 1930 it was reported he had "transferred his activites farther north (to the main colony) where he need not eat the stuff which he concocted" for the other colonists.
