Melvina (Hullinger) Allred Alternate spelling Alred

Birth: She was born in 1915 in Pennsylvania.  


Pre-Colony History: Came to the colony with her parents around 1930 from Pennsylvania.  

Family Information: Daughter of George and Annie Hullinger.

Married John Allred September 2, 1931 while living in the colony. In June 1932 "the newest colonist" (their daughter) was born. They named her Anna May Allred - "the mother [was] doing well, the father [was] happy and all [was] fine."  

Job in Colony: In June 1931 was working at the laundry along with a crew that included her mother, Annie Hullinger and Etha Allred.

In early 1932 she was washing the dishes and silver in the hotel dining room.  

Home in Colony:  

Other Info: She and John returned early in 1932 from western Texas, where they had been visiting relatives for some time.  

Post-Colony History: In 1940 she, John, and their two children were living in Texas while she worked as a housekeeper in a private home.  

Death: She died in 1969 in Texas.
