Job in Colony: In 1932 he worked in a variety of jobs -- in February he was bedding sweet potatoes in the hot beds; in March he was working at the ice plant where he and Paul Bradshaw worked the shift from 7 AM to 3 PM. He also did garden work on the Briggs place. In April he was working at the sheet-iron works, making trash cans. He was doing a mighty good job of saving useable parts from cars thrown on the discard pile.
