Mrs. E.C. Bennett


Description: A very pleasant, cultivated lady who was also a teacher.  

Pre-Colony History:  

Family Information: Came to the colony with her husband, Edward Campbell Bennett, but they returned to West Virginia at the end of their first year.  

Job in Colony: In December 1928 Mrs. Hopkins was caring for the kindergarten children while Mrs. Besse taught the primary grades. Mrs. Bennett was the principal of the department.

Apparently returned to the colony at some point, because in 1935 she was teaching fifth grade in the colony schools.
