John B. Armacost, Jr.

Birth: He was born in 1912 at Nebraska.  


Pre-Colony History:  

Family Information: Son of Myrtle (Keith) and John B. Armacost.

Brother of Jessie W. Armacost and Roslyn G. Armacost.

Step-son of Etta (Oberlitner) Armacost

Job in Colony: In June 1929 he, Elmer Jensen, Carl Besse, and Paul Ashlock were pulling beets and carting them to the hotel and cannery.

In February 1932 he was one of the truck drivers for the colony.  

Home in Colony: The 1930 US Census lists the family as lodgers in the William Mizle home. 

Other Info: In June 1929 the parish superintendent presented diplomas to the graduates of grade school including: Allie Belle Hewitt, Lois Brattland, June Enfield, Ruth Kingsbury, Paul Ashlock, Caleb Ashlock, John, Jesse and Roslyn Armacost, Elmer Jensen, Roy Swenson, Royal Thompson, Fred Busick, Robert Roe, Cletus Killian and Pauline Eggleston.  

Post-Colony History: In 1940 he was living in Washington with his father and step-mother and working as a hired laborer on a dairy farm.  

Death: He died in 1984 at Washington and was buried there.
