In October 1931, he along with Chas. Jaufroid, helped Bartlett build a log cabin in the center of the garden. Everyone was wondering who Bert Bertino would put in it. Other Info: Post-Colony History: Death:
He died on July 16, 1936 at Grand Prairie, Texas by a charge of 110 volts through the shorting of an electric drill in the American Body and Equipment Plant there. Every effort was made to resuscitate him by the doctors of the plant, by the use of first-aid manipulations, the application of the pulmotor and other devices in the hands of skilled applicators; however with no effect.
