He was on the crew turning logs into lumber as rapidly as the saw mill would cut it. Other colonists on the crew were Comrade Haering, Comrade Stevens, George and Fred Jensen, Peterson, Shepherd, John and Jesse Armacost, Wilkerson and Ernest Kimball.
