Museum the New Llano Colony

Guy Thomas

Birth: He was born around 1902 in Pennsylvania.

Family Information: Brother of Blair Thomas.

Description:

Pre-Colony History: In 1910 he was living in Pennsylvania with his parents and siblings.

Home in Colony:

Job in Colony: Often reported in the colony newspapers as working in the laundry.  In January 1932 he was learning to operate the laundry machinery because he was expected to take over running the laundry after John Dougherty had been chosen for a new job. A week later, he and Joe Hough were "working away like Trojans" at the laundry.

In October 1932 he and Fred Randant were staying busy in the blacksmith shop sharpening bits for the drilling rig.

In January 1933 Guy "had smiles all over his face as he opened the laundry for regular service again this morning." (Could this be because a new niece had appeared the night before?)
