Carl Swenson

Birth: He was born around 1871 in Sweden. He immigrated to the US in 1886 and had been naturalized by 1910.  

Family Information: Husband of Emily Swenson. Sometime between the birth of Eugene in 1923 and the 1930 census date he must have separated from his wife -- on the 1930 census she is listed as widowed.

Father of Clyde, Chester, James, Earl, Roy, Florence and Eugene Swenson.  

Description:  

Pre-Colony History: In 1910 he was living in Minnesota, where he worked as a farmer, with his wife and two eldest sons. In 1920 the family was still living in Minnesota, but with four more children. At some point before his youngest son was born in 1923, the family moved to Newllano.

Post-Colony History: In 1940 he and Eugene were living in Texas, lodging with the Ole Synoground family.  

Death: He died and was buried in California in 1950.
