Birth: He was born in 1887 at Louisiana.

Family Information: Husband of Jeannette Self.

Father of Elliott, Hortense, Wanda and Quintin Self.

Description:

Pre-Colony History: In 1900 he was living at Middle Creek in Sabine Parish, Louisiana with his parents and siblings.

In 1930 he was living in Leesville, Louisiana with his wife and children and working as a piling maker for a sawmill.

Home in Colony:

Job in Colony: Possibly lived and worked at the Anacoco Creek sawmill location for most of his time in the colony.

In December 1931 he was marking off the location for the new mess hall, kitchen and bakery. It was planned that the building would be lined up with the concrete building and the new print shop. (I don't think this building was ever actually built.)

Death: He died in 1950 and was buried in the Mitchell Cemetery at Anacoco, Louisiana.
