Pre-Colony History:

Home in Colony: The Quipp farm was on a hilltop that overlooked miles of the surrounding country and was located west of the colony town site.

In 1932, there was a nursery containing many varieties of shrubs, roses, etc. in front of the home and plans were being made to double the size of this area; at the same time roses were to be set out around the house, which would itself be beautified with flowering, clinging vines.

Job in Colony: In 1932 he was operating the dairy farm.
