David Lindsey

Birth: He was born around 1908 in Kentucky.  

Family Information: Son of Jessie and William H. Lindsey.

Brother of Robert J. Lindsey.

Pre-Colony History: In 1910 he was living in Kentucky with his parents and brother.

Other Info: He was one of the members of the colony when George Pickett was first named General Manager.  

Post-Colony History: He married Vera Ruth Howerton in 1932 at Gentry, Arkansas.

In 1937 he returned to the colony for an overnight visit along with his wife, Ruth. He expressed himself "perfectly willing to give great credit to the Llano Movement in helping him to make a success of his life. He never hesitate[d] to tell of the wonderful social life, the character building, and the education he received; but as a boy he [had] not thoroughly appreciate[d], until he was in the world for himself."

In 1940 he was living in Arkansas with his wife and working as a farmer.  

Death: He died in Arkansas, his last known residence, in 1986 and was buried there.
