Myra Jewell

Family Information: Daughter of R.A. and Martha Jewell.

Sister of Margaret Jewell, plus another sister - the three girls are described as their "three pretty daughters".  

Description:  

Pre-Colony History: The family came from Kentucky and stayed a year (1927-28) in the colony -- mostly at the Rice Ranch.  

Home in Colony: Lived at the Rice Ranch near Elton, LA.  

Job in Colony: Helped prepare food and cared for Rice Ranch workers.  

Other Info: Along with Margaret, built a tennis court at Rice Ranch  

Post-Colony History: After one year in the colony, the family moved to Clinton, Kentucky.
