Elmer Jensen

Birth: He was born around 1918 in Washington.  

Family Information: Brother of George (Ikey), Beatrice and Chris Jensen.  

Description:  

Pre-Colony History:  

Home in Colony: In 1930 he was living with his brothers and sister in a home in the colony.  

Job in Colony: In 1927 he was helping out at the dairy by bottling the milk.

In 1928 he was "budding out to be a great farmer... handling either a single mule or a team in dong the cultivator work in the orchard."

By the end of June 1928 only Bergold and Elmer Jensen were left of the orchard crew as all the rest were helping on the farms.

In June 1929 he, Carl Besse, John Armacost, and Paul Ashlock were pulling beets and carting them to the hotel and cannery.  

Other Info: In June 1929 the parish superintendent presented diplomas to the graduates of grade school including: Allie Belle Hewitt, Lois Brattland, June Enfield, Ruth Kingsbury, Paul Ashlock, Caleb Ashlock, John Armacost, Jesse Armacost, Roslyn Armacost, Elmer Jensen, Roy Swenson, Royal Thompson, Fred Busick, Robert Roe, Cletus Killian and Pauline Eggleston.
