Elmer Cayton Birth: He was born in 1872 at Michigan. Family Information: Brother of Doc Cayton. Description: Pre-Colony History: In 1920 he was living near his brother in Elmwood, Louisiana and working as a farmer. Home in Colony: Job in Colony: In January 1932 he and Hayes were looking after the herd at the goat ranch, feeding and milking the goats and delivering the milk to the Kindergarten. Other Info: In January 1933 he was looking "rather peaked as though having been drawn through a small hole." He'd had a battle with germs but was improving and expected to be well within a few days. Post-Colony History: In 1940 he was widowed and living in Vernon Parish, Louisiana with his partner in a commercial nursery, B. Wade Hewett. Death: He died in 1952 and was buried in the O'Banion Cemetery at New Llano, Louisiana.
