Mabel Campbell

Birth: She was born in 1901 in Texas.  

Family Information: Daughter of Susan Campbell. Niece of Cleve Campbell.

Sister of Crockett Campbell and Ada Caves.

Aunt of Leon and Esta Caves.  

Description:  

Pre-Colony History: In 1910 and 1920 she was living in Texas with her parents and siblings.

She visited the colony in December 1935 to spend the holidays with her mother and brother, Crockett. In June 1936 she was teaching in the schools at Childress, Texas when Crockett visited family in Sanger, Texas. Mabel joined him there and together they visited Oklahoma City before driving to the Colony.

Home in Colony: She was living in the colony in 1936 at the time of her nephew, Leon's, death in Texas.

Post-Colony History: She left the colony for Houston, Texas in June 1937. With her went her mother, Susan, who expected to visit in Houston for a month or more.

She was a school teacher at the time of her death in 1963.  

Death: She died in 1963 in Texas from a fractured skull resulting from a motor vehicle accident.
