Pre-Colony History:

Home in Colony:

Job in Colony: In November 1935 he volunteered for extra evening work at the crate factory in order to fill an urgent order. Other volunteers included: Director Eugene Carl, Industrial Foreman Chet Page, editor and teacher Emery, Mr. Jernberg and his son, Elmer, Sylvester, Arlene and Mrs. Watson.

In August 1936 he took his father's place on the roustabout truck while his dad was on a leave of absence from the colony. Willie wrestled the little old Model-T all over the grounds and usually got there. It was thought to be possibly the only thing that would get over some of those back roads and byways in wet weather, outside a mule.
