Hattie (Goins) Brown

Birth: She was born around 1893 in Louisiana.  

Family Information: She married Ed Brown some time before 1930; each already had several children from previous marriages, At least three of hers lived in the colony with them, including Katie Belle Goans, Ila Goans and Mrs. Ben Clark (possibly Joy).

Pre-Colony History:  

Home in Colony: In 1935 she and Ed were living in the Newllano Colony.  

Job in Colony: In 1935 and '36 she was washing dishes in the hotel dining room.  

Other Info:  

Post-Colony History: In 1940 she and Ed were living in a home in the unincorporated New Llano, Louisiana (site of the old colony), along with three of her daughters -- Jory Goins, Katy Bell Goins and Ila Goins.
