Dario "Rio" Bridwell

Birth: He was born in 1919 in Arkansas.  

Family Information: Son of Louis and Elizabeth Bridwell.

Brother of Kathleen, Harlan and Dorothy Bridwell.  

Description: In 1940 he had a light brown complexion, weighed 145 pounds and was 6' tall; he had brown eyes and black hair. In 1942 he was still 72" tall and weighed 134 pounds.

Pre-Colony History: He came to the colony with his family from Forestburg, Texas in 1928.

Post-Colony History: In 1940 he was living with his parents and two youngest siblings in Texas and working as an entomologist. In October of 1940 he was self-employed when he registered for the draft.

In 1942 he enlisted as a Private in the US Army "for the duration of the war or other emergency, plus six months, subject to the discretion of the president or otherwise according to law."

When his father died in 1951 he was named in his obituary as a survivor living in Forestburg, Texas.

He was living in Longview, Texas in 1957, '58 and '60.  

Death: He died in 1995 at Texas and was buried in the Perryman Cemetery at Forestburg, Texas.
