Oren Borgeson Birth: He was born in Denmark about 1878 and immigrated to the U.S. in 1907. Family Information: Description: He spoke Danish. Pre-Colony History: Home in Colony: In 1920 he was listed as a boarder with Bertha Landon. Job in Colony: He worked as a salesman in the colony store. The commissary which was run by Borgeson and Ma Thomas was reported to look like a real "up-to-date" store. Other Info: In 1920 "Shorty" Borgeson made a decision to move to a higher altitude and a dryer climate which he felt would be better for the malady with which he suffered.(NOTE-- It is unclear whether the name "Shorty" refers to Oren or Oscar Borgeson) or whether this was an entirely different Borgeson altogether.
