Charles P. "Charley" Allred Alternate spelling Alred

Birth: He was born around 1887 in Missouri.  

Family Information: Married to Etha Allred.

Father of John and Claude Allred.  

Description:  

Pre-Colony History: On the 1910, 1920 and 1930 census he was living in Texas with his wife and children. In 1910 he was working as a laborer for a work train; in 1920 as a farmer; and in 1930 as a grocery salesman.

In December 1928 he was a new subscriber to the "Llano Colonist" along with J.H. Eggleston, Prof. W.D. Laurie, Bert Bertino, G. C. Campbell and Lester Caves -- all from Texas. In 1930 he was listed under "New Subscribers and Renewals".

He came to the colony in early 1931 with his wife and son, John. At some point his son, Claude also joined them.

Job in Colony: In 1931 he was chopping up waste wood for the hotel kitchen using the cut-off saw.
